It's impressive what you can do with eight actors, two sets, and your lead standing still for most of it. This does feel like Moffat snuck in references to several of his own stories through this. Villengard (as mentioned during The Doctor Dances, suddenly Nine blowing up the factories feels a lot more justified than just his dislike of guns), the Anglican Marines from Elevens Weeping Angel two parter, the Fish Fingers and Custard reference, and the reference to the "The moon and the Presidents wife" which Missy mentioned at the start of Capaldis second season (Since he stole the moon and the Presidents wife, ever since he was a little girl. One of those was a lie, can you guess which one?) And while not a Moffat reference, The Doctor singing the Skye Boat song, which Two (and the Master-Doctor in Whittakers finale) would play on the recorder. Also credit to Gatwa, you should not be able to say "thoughts and prayers" in the same tone as "Get fucked". Also Ruby was technically dead for several minutes. I'm sure there's no problems stemming from the lack of oxygen to the brain. I'm sure it'll be fine. Also, sorry to rain on Kristian's idea at the end, but the Sycorax ship, "It's not snow, it's ash" would have been Christmas 2006, because "Rose" was in 2005, than skipped a year to "Aliens of London/ World War 3".

I enjoyed these two episodes. They're just a bit of fun, and sometimes that's just what's needed. Do hope we see Maestro again, either on screen or Big Finish, if only because there's still so much scenery they left unchewed. Lets hope RTD can keep it up.

The Gamer Driver is actually one of the more universally liked belts of kamen rider/KR community, need to remember the belts represent the season and its themes and story, dont need to like them and theres plenty folks arent fans of be it personal or it literally just doesnt fit the season/have much play factor to them, but personally id say the Gamer Driver is one of the best belts, my only critique being the color scheme, however i can forgive it cause it fits most of the bright saturated suits, and the belt itself is very plain, it needed more patterns and detail on it, otherwise its great, 8/10 belt

I believe characters from zenkaiger are based on akaranger+big one, zyuranger, gaoranger,boukenger,magiranger and of course gokaiger. Donbrothers are based on virtual reality and the Momotaro peach boy fairytale characters (you can see the peach on the red helmet who is name Momoi Tarou)

The Ohrangers were based about ancient civilization tech (atlantis, egypt, easter island, etc), as of Timeranger the american one was a 1:1 adaptation of the japanese one (except for the main villain being quite different) P.S. Doggie Kruger was called exactly like that in japan too

Donbrothers is based on the tale and characters of Momotaro. And actually more than they've run out with themes Ninjas, Dinosaurs and cars are the one who sells best in toys with japanese children P.S.Have you ever noticed the Gold ranger from Go-buster is the same actor as Magiyellow?

Dairanger is actually chinese folklore and mythology and Gingaman was fairytale based (that's why they have a pixie as friend and pirates are the villains, like in peter pan) By the way the fact you are in a makeshift Tardis console gives you 100 points XD P.S:Also do you know that due to a deal at the time with BBC Megaranger has a sound of the Tardis dematerializing applied to the Villains fortress shots?

Long post incoming, apologies in advance. The puppets (Stooky Sue, the babbies and the companion puppets) were all practical effects, controlled by actual puppeteers. Definitely added to the creepy factor. The return of Mel was great to see. While I'm not as familiar with her as I am some other classic companions, it's always nice to see old faces come back, much like with Tegan and Ace in Thirteens finale. It was nice to have a bit of an explanation on her life post Doctor as well, including the fate of Glitz, whose actor passed a few years back. Neil Patrick Harris is a trained magician and dancer, so it's quite likely the card cutting and puppeteering were all him. The scene with the Toymaker dancing throughout UNIT HQ is a great display of what he can do. Compared to the Masters dance scenes, where the Master is dancing while the Doctor is restrained and unable to do anything, the Toymaker KNOWS he can't be stopped. There is nothing that UNIT or the Doctor can do to stop him, so he can just... well, play with them. Personally, I like the simplicity of the games played against the Toymaker, a simple card game and a simple game of catch. Easy rule with no wiggle room, because for all the comments that the Toymaker won't cheat, loophole and specific readings of the rules might not be considered cheating. So by forcing the simple rules, the Toymaker can be beaten, because how do you beat someone like that otherwise? While it may not seem hugely climactic, it gets the job done. And so, onto the regeneration, or Bigeneration (a word spellchecker does not like, unsurprisingly). There are some theories I've seen floating around, based on the lines in the episode. Fifteen mentions that he's ok because Fourteen "fixed himself" and that they're "doing rehab out of order". One idea going around I'm quite fond of is the Fourteen is going to take the time Donna and co to rest, for the first time in millennia, finally come to terms with all the shit they've been through, and then, when the time comes and he's in a good place mentally, and ready and able to travel time and space without the baggage that has weighed on them for so long, then they'll turn into Fifteen and emerge as they did here (see Fifteens first lines "I'm really, REALLY me!") The theory has holes in it to be sure, but it's a theory at least. As for the two TARDIS thing, Fourteens prize for beating the Toymaker was to banish him. Fifteen took his prize later. As he said, the Toymakers rules were still in play, so anything could happen. (edit: you brought some of this up, and I feel Kristian explained it better than I did.) As for Fifteen himself. He's going to be fun. I've said before how I wanted Thirteen to be the Doctor who moved on from her guilt and went back to traveling the universe happy. But she wasn't, she just bottled it all up and closed herself off. But Fifteen? He looks like he's actually free from all that, and ready to have fun again. Oh, we'll see how long it lasts before something hits him hard and traumatises him like Doctors past, but for now, he's happy, and I, for one, am happy for him. Bring on Christmas, a phrase that I never thought I'd say as someone who works in retail...

Genuinely enjoyed this episode, as it's always nice to see a Sci-Fi series do Cosmic Horror. Apparently the Not-Things arms, the double knee and the teeth were all practical effects, which might be why they're some of the best looking effects in the episode. And, of course, it was a delight to see Wilf, possibly for the last time depending on whether or not he was able to film any more.

This is the first pilot which was rejected as being "too cerebral for the general public." They then shot a 2nd pilot, which became the episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before."

I will admit to a certain degree of trepidation going into this special, but I'm glad my fears were unfounded. It's good to see RTD hasn't lost his touch when it comes to Doctor Who. Fourteen feels like a version of Ten that has 'grown up'. He feels like he has all the experience of being Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen, and has, for want of a better word, matured. Less Blasé about things, less smug. Might just be me though. And of course Catharine Tate is on form as Donna, and I'm so glad that we've got two more specials with her. I did know a bit about Beep the Meep going into this, so from the moment The Meep showed up, I was waiting to see how the reveal of The Meeps true nature would be done. Happy to see that Beep is as sadistic as the comic version, with no bits of the scenery unchewed. Also my first mental response to the Wrarth warriors was "Stingmon, buddy!" Maybe it's because of the new Adventure 02 Movie, just had Stingmon on the brain. If I have any complaints, minor as they are, I'm still not entirely sold on the Sonic making big blue shield walls or the new TARDIS interior. With the former, I'll have to see if and when they're used again, otherwise it's going to be a case of "but why not just make a shield?" and, as cynical as it feels to say this, it did feel like they were showing off that they had the budget to do something flashy. Who knows, might just be a me thing. As for the TARDIS, again a minor thing, but it just feels too... big. A similar problem to Whittaker's TARDIS, where you've got all this space thats going to be under utilised because all the action will be at the console. But again, we'll have to see. But yeah, if Russel the Davis can keep this up, I'll be a very happy camper.

I Definitly regomd Build. If you Think Ex-Aid was Anime Like. Build can be even more Anime Like. Plus the level of BL subtext between the two main riders is something else 😂😂 Build is really good. It has a kind of slow middle point. But it gets So Crazy at the end!!

Oh, Don't worry about the ending! I mean, since now I can tell you is not perfect, but it works withing the narrative. Although another Twist than comes later is much more interesting than the finale xd I watched ex-aid not long ago, and I was actually Impress on how good and how much I liked it! I know this is old. But actually yeah. I'm pretty sure Ex-Aid Drive Desing and colouring is Intentional. From all the KR shows I've watch so far, Ex-Aid's, Saber's and Maybe Build's Drivers are the most "Toy Alike" but Ex-Aid is a Video-Game concept and Saber is a Children Books Concept. In Saber they Henshin with this books that represent some tale, and in General Saber has this colourfull cheerful style, all because of the concept.

The editor of the compilation is stupid since they skipped ToQ7, Misao Mondo and Burd from Zyuohger, both iterations of the 3 generations of Red from Ninninger, didn’t show Tsurugi transforming but included his rollcall spot, skipped over Noël’s henshin as Patren X’s but included his rollcall, skipped over Nada’s henshin into Gaisoulg, skipped Takamichi, jumped straight to a confusingly edited series of clips from Zenkaiger, skipped over Zenkai red, used the damn commercial rollcall for Donbrothers, and because they rushed into making the compilation so early in Donbrothers run, it’s missing Torabolt Doragoku the Juuto trio and Don murasame.
